Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Brandy and Fantasia are two of the most influential artists to my sound. I aim to combine the vocal and harmonic complexity of Brandy’s music with the raw heart and passion of a Fantasia performance (to enhance the lyrical whimsicality of my own songwriting).
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would give me the opportunity to prove myself to the world. Most people look at the aesthetic of my artistry and write it off as “silly” or “not actual music”. Presenting my songs on a stage that significant would give my songs the stamp of approval it requires to be taken seriously, and would encourage people to listen to them. Then, they would discover how much of my soul I pour into each and every part of my discography.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50,000 would shift where I am in life tremendously! I could pay off my student loans to fully invest in my music. I could also help my mom out with a few expenses, she’s provided for me her entire life, it’s about time I return a fraction of the favor.
