Who or what is your musical inspiration?
It starts for me with the Beatles - without whom! - I've always had a passion and drive to express myself and life in lyrics and melodies. They've just gotta come out - and JD & the RetroRyders is the perfect outlet for this expression.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Being a New Yorker - Long Island to be exact- my first ever concert was on Central Parks Great Lawn! To be able to return to my hometown while being on the Global Citizens stage emphasizes my band's commitment to the well being of the world while taking part in something greater than ourselves. A fullfilling dream.
What would you do with $50,000?
Put it right back into the band - marketing/tour support/etc. - helping to spread our brand of peace and love.
