Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Jimi Hendrix was the first person to teach me that a guitar could sing. After that, I was hooked on rock. The idea of doing a solo over a jamming rhythm section is heaven to me. The real craft though, is songwriting. Capturing a vibe within the solid structure of a song is the key to catching lightning in a bottle. Whether the song follows typical structure or is the opening of a new rock opera, my songs will always have color, content, and character. I write to inspire others!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
The audience and platform provided by this festival would absolutely launch me into a bed of positive networking and influence. Every artist needs a break, and a break at this festy would make my story far from an overnight success, it would be right on time. I could meet new musicians, new fans, new crew, but most importantly the new songs and inspirations that would come from the experience. It would be the largest audience I’ve ever performed in front of and I’ll try not to s***
What would you do with $50,000?
Studio time! I would have everything I need to finally make the master piece I have always dreamed of recording. I’ve always done home recording and the resources offered by a $50,000 cash infusion would be indispensable. After a focused and ambitious pre production phase, I would enter the studio with songs that have never been heard before, financially backed up by resources that my music has never had.
