Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I grew up being inspired by and training my vocals to sing the songs of soulful singers like Amy Winehouse, Adele, Joss Stone, Whitney Houston and Mahalia Jackson. I am inspired by the song writing of several genres and artists, but certainly was inspired to write my own songs by Radiohead, Mancester Orchestra, Trevor Hall and Nahko. I love songs with an emotional current that build and take you in, take you on a journey and ultimately lead you to higher ground.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be incredibly beneficial to me to have the opportunity to allow the world to see the caliber of live and unfiltered performance that I can provide. Performing and connecting emotionally with my audience is what I was born to do.
What would you do with $50,000?
Buy studio time to finish up multiple EP's, create a professional marketing campaign, begin playing larger venues, and organize a proper tour. And merch ;)
