Jesus Christ Supercar

No matter how much distortion and fuzz is present on our songs, we always make sure that each one has a catchy and danceable core.

Q&A

Who or what is your musical inspiration?

We have always gravitated towards the dance-powered indie sleaze of the 00’s and 10’s, along with riff-heavy jammers like QotSA and DFA 1979. Franz Ferdinand, Jack White, Mini Mansions, and LCD Soundsystem are also big inspirations.

How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?

We have always been a local band—it would be incredible to get the attention of a national audience. When people hear us for the first time, they are always pleasantly surprised!

What would you do with $50,000?

We have a large bank of songs we have yet to record. We would get to work on a full-length album, likely enlisting artist and producer Mobley to help us. We would also use that money to help expand outside of the St. Louis are, doing regional shows in places like Chicago, Nashville, KC, Omaha, and more.
