Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspirations are vast, spanning just about every genre. I was very affected by Maceo Parker, Dee Lite, Bjork, Bowie, Yanni, & Jiorio’s Cyber Diva as a young child. My tastes range widely & are connected mostly by pathos & the involuntary dance that listening inspires. These days Marc Rebillet & Grimes in terms of performance & creation, & Psychedelic porn crumpets & Harrison Fjord are evolutionary, but the local Cleveland scene is my ultimate muse!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I imagine that this performance would allow me to showcase the work I’ve put in to performing all these years, and give me the ability to sing and speak on the most profound of my experiences and what the world and this path has taught me. I’d love to dance with everyone and palpably share my joy and passion with as many people as possible, and I believe this stage would help me to expand both my reach and my own awareness- the inspiration for everything.
What would you do with $50,000?
Invest. In my career, in my community, in my family, In my dreams. I am a multifaceted artist and balance music with art, acting, modeling, and many other creative career aspects. Living a life where I can freely create and develop communities around creative projects and ideas is a dream I plan to follow regardless of winning. This would redefine the next several years of my path towards putting the Cleveland creative scene on the map, and transform life from one of survival to thriving.
