Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Everything influences my art. I express all emotions, as our journey thru life will surely bring every one of them to us, eventually. I’ve never intentionally written anything to imitate another artist, I find my expression comes from deep within, and sometimes surprises me! I have written songs that were fleeting ideas that I raced to grab before they vanished, and became my most treasured, personal, emotional songs. Writing has often been my therapy thru grief and loss as well as venting
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I want the vast body of work I have accomplished to reach its audience. I struggle with the modern way of hacking around on the internet to be seen and heard in this time of short attention span. It’s exhausting, frustrating and expensive for an artist. This would finally give me the long awaited opportunity to be seen and heard, sharing my message(s), and touching the hearts that need to hear it. Music IS therapy, and I believe I can show people they don’t carry their burdens alone
What would you do with $50,000?
I would use the money to invest in a marketing strategy to further propel any momentum that this would create and hire a manager and booking agency. I would tour with a band to play everywhere that people request me, with all of my crazy diversity, taking the message to the people that need it, and finally be seen and heard!
