Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Bruce Springsteen. Coming from the Jersey shore just like him, I have been inspired by both his writing style and relentless live performances for as long as I can remember. His music has truly touched my soul in a way that I wasn't sure was possible.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Everyone needs a big break. This festival would expose thousands of people to my music and would give me a shot and touching them all with my music and story. My music is about real people and real life experiences, and has been my way of navigating the ups and downs of life for over a decade now.
What would you do with $50,000?
I love my job as an engineering teacher, but if I am to achieve my goals, I would ultimately need to take time off to pursue music full time. This money would allow me to travel around the country and play my music in front of different people than just those in my immediate vicinity. It would truly be life changing.
