Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Artists such as The Beatles, Ok Go, Jesse Welles, Nehmasis, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Broadway musicals are my musical inspirations, but my wife, my family, and my experiences growing up among the redwoods are my personal ones.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would give me an opportunity to perform in one of my favorite places on earth for a festival that speaks a lot to my own personal mission as an artist. I would love to have my music heard by thousands of people and spread my messages that a better world is possible. It is an honor just to be selected for the opportunity.
What would you do with $50,000?
I could afford to buy a home for myself and my wife for our future children, to invest more into my retirement, which as an artist, has been severely neglected, and to donate a portion to causes I care about such as Food Not Bombs, Doctors Without Borders, and the Climate Emergency Fund.
