Who or what is your musical inspiration?
For me, music began in high school. The year prior, the movie School of Rock premiered and at 13 years old I was enraptured. Freshman year I joined an afterschool guitar workshop and fell deeply in love with being able to make music. The following summer, I spent 8 hours a day learning my favorite tunes and stumbling through the advanced fingerings of my idols. By my sophomore year, I was tasked with helping to teach the very class I learned in and was later “drafted” into the school
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would really jump start everything. Never thought i would be honored with such an opportunity. Playing for people would be such blessing to share with them.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would make a new album. Open my new studio. Also donate some money to kids so they can share in the dream of music. Buy them instruments and lessons.
