Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My formal dance backround cemented my love for music. It’s what inspired me to become a part of the process. I have dabbled in every form of art throughout my life before landing on music. My musical inspiration is the listener. How music makes them feel. How lyrics make them feel represented. There will always be great artists but the importance is the impact on the person listening.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This would impact my career in the way that it opens me up to new listeners. It would make me more comfortable singing in bigger crowds. I’ve always been a performer to big crowds, but I haven’t reached that in my singing career yet. It’s an amazing opportunity to connect to not only listeners, but people involved in the BOH. Seeing how bigger productions are put together. Being a part of something so cool gives me more accolades and experience.
What would you do with $50,000?
I could do so much! My most popular hit is waiting for the budget to produce the music video it deserves. My treatment is already done! Just waiting for the budget. As a college student, my studies come first so I haven’t had the budget to accommodate both my school career and my artist career. With my NYU acceptance around the corner, I would be able to balance both of the most important aspects in my life right now. My school, and my art.
