Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Growing up, I was introduced to many different genres, and decades of music before my time. Quickly enamored with legends such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston and many others. I knew I wanted to make people feel the way I felt when my favorite music was playing.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Having this opportunity would bring my music to so many new listeners. It would give me the importantly to not only connect with an audience bigger than I’ve ever performed for, but I love to meet new people and other creatives. It would be an honor to perform at a festival of this nature, because poverty is something that more and more people seem to be facing every day.
What would you do with $50,000?
I am actually a single mom. I would actually use this money to give my family a better, more stable life, and hopefully start my businesses and be able to put more money into making music!!!
