Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I have so many musical inspirations, but to really narrow it down my bigger inspiration is Paul McCartney. On so many levels Paul is, in my opinion, the greatest musician/songwriter of the last century. From being highly proficient at an entire catalog of instruments, to his vocal range and strength, and especially his gift for composition. Above all of his talent, however, his passion and love for music and his family are the biggest inspirations to me
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be a dream come true for me to just simply be heard. I know I’m far from alone in feeling this way as a musician and songwriter, but for me success as a performer isn’t the fame, it’s simply sharing who I am through music with as many people as possible. The highest achievement is to know that someone hears my music, and somehow finds a connection and healing through that. Of course, it would also just be an unforgettable experience that would be treasured always.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would help my parents become debt-free, as well as my fiancé and myself. I would then place whatever is left into savings for my son to be able to save for his future. I’m not a materialistic person, I just want my family to be happy and taken care of. I don’t care if I never have fame and outrageous fortune; if I can take care of the people I love because of my music, I’d consider that to be a dream come true.
