Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I was weaned on my dad's records, primarily the British Invasion (especially The Beatles), American folk and rock acts like The Byrds and Peter, Paul and Mary. Later I discovered the extended realms of classic rock, jazz, traditional country and world music. One of my favorite shows over the last few years was Shakti with Mahavishnu John McLaughlin at The Ryman Auditorium here in Nashville. It was great to see Lenny Kravitz again at Jazzfest 2025 recently in New Orleans.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
In addition to an upcoming SoCal run with Ted Russell Kamp including our June 7 date at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, and dates in Europe with a backing band based in Madrid, Spain, my booking agent and I are working toward more festival bookings for the 2026 landscape, so naturally this would be a HUGE opportunity.
