I am truly a chameleon! I love the blending of genres, taking classics and keeping them culturally relevant.
Thank you for generously supporting Kareem in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to empower Global Citizen in their mission to eradicate extreme poverty and create a world where everyone has an equal chance to thrive.
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My family and my background! My family is from Jamaica and I was born in Brooklyn so I try to pull my culture in whenever possible. The combination of that with my college years which happened during the EDM boom lead to my love of mixing house music with hip hop, reggae and other styles bred from the African diaspora.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This would be a milestone as my first music festival but for me it's the opportunity to showcase the DJ. I believe the DJ is the most impactful performer when it comes to bridging the gap between generations and cultures.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest this money into a DJ & production studio that I could build in Boston to give young kids and dreamers an opportunity to explore and learn about the craft of DJing!
