Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Since I was 14, Rupaul has always been a guiding force in my life. Through him, I learned that being different and sticking true to who you are and your passion will ultimately lead to your success. I find that this mindset is the key especially now in this industry where many people don’t have a sound that is distinct to themselves.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
nowadays, artists are valued mostly based off of their follower count and social media impact. as someone who likes to keep my art authentic, i find that constantly posting for fame or recognition does not help this goal of being genuine. therefore, i don’t get as much exposure since promoters look at an artist’s social media rather than their actual art.
What would you do with $50,000?
music equipment is very expensive. i would use the money to help finish my studio set up as well as put it back into the community by throwing free events where artists get paid a decent wage, or dj/production lessons where i can help others learn to perfect their craft.
