Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Movies are my musical inspiration. Since I was a little girl I have always noticed scores of movies. I love to set the mood for what I’m feeling in all that I write and lyrics are my favorite part. It’s like writing a soundtrack to my own life.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I have never played a festival before. That would be incredible. I opened for The Marshall Tucker band at a smaller outdoor venue years ago, but this would be a new level for me. So much fun.
What would you do with $50,000?
Record more music! I have loads of written and unrecorded music and more I want to write. I would probably use some to build a space at home for recording as I have the equipment and nowhere to set it up.
