Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I use inspiration from my life and the lives of friends and family in all my music. My first album I released is inspired mostly by my divorce and the changes, highs and lows that came with it. My new lyrics that I want to produce are inspired by a place of independence and healing.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would help me connect with an audience and get my name out. I would love to find a promotor that could help me with the online aspect of the music industry and learning to promote my music. I am open to trying new things but do not know what are the best avenues to take.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50,000 could help me start creating more of the songs I gave written. Being a singer-songwriter and not a musician really hurts my ability to release music on my own. I find myself singing acapella at open mics or with soundtracks that I had to pay to create with a small label. This makes it really hard for me to share songs that I'm excited about but haven't had the funding to produce.
