Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspirations are a mix of Pop/Soul/R&B and also African music since I grew up in an African household. My no 1 inspiration is Beyoncé because of her vocal skills and versatility, then Etta James and I also get inspiration from African artists like Wizkid or Tiwa Savage who are one of the first artists to put Afrobeats/African music on the international stage.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a huge step in my career because I’ve always been an engaged artist and wrote songs about the civil war that happened in my country (Central African Republic) and I’ve always wanted to be the voice of those who are not heard. It would also be a great opportunity for me since the festival has a huge audience so it will be a chance for me to spread my voice and message to the world.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I win the $50,000 I would most definitely invest in my music career. I’m an artist who write and compose so most of the time I make the beat in my head and need someone to create it for me since I’m not a beatmaker, but this is expensive so I would invest in all those songs that are still in my drafts and maybe produce my first album.
