Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I first fell in love with music hearing Aaliyah on the radio in my mom’s car—her angelic voice moved me. Mariah Carey’s “Make It Through the Rain” and “When You Believe” by Mariah & Whitney inspired me deeply. Music is my healing and my mission—to uplift others, unite cultures, and prove that believing in yourself can break generational barriers. Performing at Global Citizen Festival would align my voice with a cause I deeply care about—ending world hunger. As an artist and empath, I’m willing to fast in solidarity with those who go without daily. Music is my way of standing with them, raising awareness, and using my platform to advocate for change. What would you do with $50,000?
If I win, I’ll donate a portion to the child hunger charity partnered with Global Citizen. I’ll use the rest to fund my debut album and create a local initiative in Riverside, CA to support homeless and hungry people in my community—raising awareness both globally and at home. – Khadijah TheDonDiiva
