Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My inspiration comes from my family. I’m of Jamaican descent so growing up life was really hard but music always made me feel better. My mom and dad are deeply rooted in music. My father never made it as far in the industry as he’d hoped. After a bunch of false promises he gave up and focused on raising his family. My siblings and inherited that same love for music. My father didn’t want that for me but ima show him its possible, and bring him on stage with me before he passes
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the festival would change the trajectory of my career. It’ll help me reach a bigger audience. People are scared to try new music when it’s not what they’re used to. A competition like this gives me the chance to finally be heard by thousands of people and allow those who are seeking my style of music, to find them. Increasing my presence in social media platforms and boosting my amount of listeners everywhere.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50k would change my life for the better forever. I’d use it to jump start my music career and take care of my family of course, but I’d also use it to invest in my community. I know a lot of people who, if given the chance, would do some great things in the community so I would help fund certain businesses and help others create wealth for themselves as well.
