Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My inspiration comes from a mix of cultures, sounds, and life itself. I grew up with the rhythms of Uganda, Afrobeat, reggae, dancehall, and hip hop. But I’ve always been drawn to global sounds, from pop to country, and the blend of genres gives me the freedom to create something new every time. Artists like Bob Marley, Shakira, and even artists like Lil Nas X inspire me to break boundaries, keep evolving, and stay true to who I am.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would be a game-changer! It would open doors to a global audience and connect my music with people from different cultures. This isn’t just about a performance — it’s about showing the world that African music has no limits. It’s also an opportunity to share my message of unity, empowerment, and the power of music to create change. I’m ready to bring that energy and make the world dance.
What would you do with $50,000?
First, I’d invest in expanding my music and vision even further — producing more groundbreaking tracks with my team, The Magicians, and collaborating with global artists. But I’d also use that to give back to my community in Uganda. There are so many talented young artists who need a platform to shine, and I’d love to help mentor and provide resources for their careers.
