Who or what is your musical inspiration?
OutKast, John Cena, and Kendrick Lamar are amongst the top of the list of inspiring musicians. Each member of OutKast has such a diverse sound and such unique ways of approaching instrumentals. Andre 3000’s first verse on “Might O” is a great example of finding the cadence you want. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would personally validate me as an artist and negate any doubt I’ve ever had about myself. However, that’s something I need to do in my life regardless of winning.
What would you do with $50,000?
With the $50,000 from winning this contest, I’ll definitely give my mom some money first cause she has held it down for my entire life. Of course after that, I’m investing in my craft. I’d upgrade my setup, pay for some vocal lessons, increase my social media marketing budget, have a music video budget, and work on getting some collaborations with great artists done.
