Who or what is your musical inspiration?
A lot of my inspiration for music as of lately has been inspired by my subconscious. A large portion of lyrics that I have been working with were songs that I woke up singing. Being inspired by the line “I was dreaming when I wrote this” by Prince I began to write the lyrics down while still in a dreamlike state. I believe our subconscious selves at times connect to higher powers as well as future selves.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Preforming at the Global Citizen Festival makes my goals palpable. There would be a tangible ability to proceed as an artist visualizing sounds to create greater connections between my creations and the audience.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would turn my artistic vision into a provocative product of sounds and visuals creating a strong brand in the music industry. There would be an opportunity for a deeper connection made with an audience through added visual work as well as a feeling of inclusion through live performances as well as behind the scenes content.
