Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My journey started with my grandmother, who taught me guitar and played with legends like Patsy Cline. From there, it’s Hendrix, the Allman Brothers, George Benson, jazz, blues, southern rock, and even metalcore. I pull from everywhere — classical to funk — and I aim to make music with all the swagger and none of the baggage. I want it to hit hard and still have a heart.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would literally make my career. I’ve been floundering away and obscurity five ever like most folks, but it would literally change everything for me
What would you do with $50,000?
Well, I would probably treat my child to Disney World. I know that’s pretty dumb. I’m pretty simple. I guess it would change everything for me.
