Who or what is your musical inspiration?
2pac and Bone Thugs N Harmony were the first artists to catch my interest in making music when I was 16. Over the years I listened to different genres of music and really found my sound within the style of the local artists across Texas, Houston in specific. As the years passed I listened to how music evolved and began to use music software that allowed me to explore my creativity and curate my own style. The biggest influences for my music evolving in current times have been Kendrick Lamar.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
My passion for music has always been driven by reaching people across all demographics. My message is positivity and pushing through hard times with the goal of expressing myself musically. Having a chance to share my music at a large scale concert would allow me to realize that goal. I make music with the purpose of inspiring the dreamers to reach beyond what they see in front of them. I believe that music can motivate, inspire, but most of all unite people regardless of background or lifestyle
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest in a home for my family with a built in studio. Music is not just a part of me but a part of my family. My children all play instruments or sing in choir, having a home studio would allow me to create within the space that is my sanctuary. I would also work on getting my music distributed across as many platforms as possible. This opportunity would open doors for me that would otherwise be inaccessible to a working class artist like myself.
