Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I take inspiration from all genres but mainly jazz, pop, and club music because that’s really what i grew up on, hence why my sound has these elements present. Nas & mf doom were big influences on me as far as the lyrics, i really wanted to match their level of writing. I also enjoyed older artists such as MJ and the fifth dimension because of how they layered such complex themes into seemingly surface level lyrics that you might not catch at first listen.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I think it would be a great opportunity for me to get my name out there, I’m often told I make great music more people just have to hear it. I would come with a plan of course to maximize my impact from the event as far as having merchandise and a great amount of footage to utilize for future marketing. I also have a band and I think the opportunity could give them chance to meet new horizons of their own.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would divide things into portions If I were to divide things out into 4 sections of 12k to last until the following year. One section would go to marketing and ads (1k/month). Another 12k would go music videos (1k budget) so I’d have new visuals to promote every month. The other half of that 50k would be split between investing further into my artistry and brand, such as merchandise or guest appearances on high traffic pages. And the last bit I would put into my savings and stocks
