Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My greatest inspiration to create music is the sense of belonging artists like George Harrison, Jack White, Laura Marling, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks all offered me when I was a lonely kid. I dedicated my life to learning how to craft songs sot do the same for others. Where there is music, we all belong.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
At the stage our band is at, we have played for an audience of 3k as an opener and as a result sold completely out of our merch. Compound that success to a festival with an estimated 60k people. We are a fantastic live band. Live stage performance is our greatest strength and there is no doubt our careers would be launched given the opportunity to be in front of enough eyes. We're ready to make someone else a lot of money and quit our part-time jobs for a reasonable living as musicians.
What would you do with $50,000?
10k for recording a radio-ready album (8-10 tracks) 5k for a high-production value music video with supporting cut-downs for social content 5k for online marketing 5k for e-commerce/merchandising 5k for trad media pr outreach 10k for radio tracking (4 singles off the album) 10k for DIY tour with pr support 6 months after release to target cities where tracks performed well on radio.
