Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Life, experiences, the people around me, the emotions we go through as humans, the things we look to change, things we can’t control and the things we can all inspire me primarily. As far as who? I’m a huge MJ fan, I’m also inspired by Kendrick, Jay Z, Eminem, Lauryn Hill, Andre 3000, James Fauntleroy, Vybz Kartel, it ranges all over the place because they all know how to really reach their listeners, from hits, to album cuts, to songwriting, it’s mind blowing.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would mean a lot for me and for the people that have been rooting for me along this journey. It’s been a long run, and in this pursuit we fight to keep faith and patience. Performing at Global Citizen will not only increase that drive and faith, but it will help me reach thousands of new ears. I always tell myself, all it takes is 1 new listener, but thousands? Face to face? Thats insane.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest some into myself & the craft, I’d definitely save some. I’d also help my family with some debts so they could live better as well.
