Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Tyler, The Creator and Pharrell Williams are my musical inspiration when it comes to approaching music as an artist and producer. As a songwriter I've always looked towards Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Smino, and Isaiah Rashad. I chase and create the sound that I personally want to hear, striving to make it as authentic and true to me as possible all while having fun and making the track feel alive. I feel as if these artists and many, many more, I have done so for me.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would give me the opportunity to showcase my sound, style, and energy. It would bring me to an audience that has most likely never heard my music before allowing me to reach potential fans and new listeners. A big exposition would give me a chance to grow my small fanbase, get closer to my fans/listeners, and show myself as an artist and producer in hopes that I meet other like minded individuals to collaborate and work with.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest into my music career as a songwriter and producer, with the goal of etching myself into the Music Industry working and collaborating with all types of musicians, artists, engineers, songwriters, and producers. I would also want to invest into smaller artists and friends who take their music seriously and give them the push and support they need to focus on what they do best. I’m looking to create my own group of like minded individuals, to push the envelope of music.
