Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My music inspiration comes from heartfelt storytelling, real-life experiences, and humor. Artists like Ashley McBryde, Jennifer Nettles (Sugarland), and Miranda Lambert inspire me to channel honesty, strength, and vulnerability into my songs.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
From growing up in a small rural town to teaching in a Title One urban school, I’ve seen how poverty can stunt and hold back a child’s potential. Even though I traded the classroom for the stage, my values line up with Global Citizen’s. It is also rare that a country artist is featured on this platform, so to be able to bridge that gap would be revolutionary in and of itself.
What would you do with $50,000?
Investing $50,000 in my career would be a game-changer! I’d allocate it to high-quality recordings, music videos, and marketing to expand my reach. This funding would cover touring expenses, enable me to hire a team to secure larger venues, and professionally grow my brand. Additionally, I’d like to use a portion of the money to support a school that urgently needs musical instruments. Ultimately, my goal is to contribute to the next generation of musicians!
