Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Lazarus Go Home takes its influence from the genre shoegaze and 90s alternative bands. Some of our biggest songwriting influences include Dinosaur Jr, My Bloody Valentine, Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, and DIIV. We also take influence from hardcore groups like Merauder, Snapcase, and Knocked Loose.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at the Global Citizen Festival would give us the opportunity to contribute to a good cause. We value things like community especially within our music scene, and doing things such as playing at this festival would bring all of our communities together for a good cause. At the festival we would be able to network with other artists and get our music out to a larger audience, which would help us grow significantly.
What would you do with $50,000?
$50,000 would help us get the gear and resources to bring us to the professional performing and recording level that our bands sound is striving for. With this money we would relocate to a less rural community, invest in better gear, and record all of our unreleased music and bring our ideas to life.
