Who will perform at the Global Citizen Festival, appear in Rolling Stone, and take home $50,000?
Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I get inspiration from a variety of different sources. I listen to a lot of music that isn't electronic, especially reggae, indie rock, and a lot of slow and ambient songs. Artists I look up to who I feel are pushing music and creativity forward with each album are Flume, Bon Iver, and The 1975. Finally, as a Producer and DJ, I scour the internet looking for unique electronic music. Many times, the songs I come across are from underground producers, which is so cool to me.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would give me the platform to showcase what I think is electronic music that is forward thinking and unique. I know from my friends and fellow producers that there is a craving for uniqueness in dance music, and this festival would give me the platform to show a broad audience what the next generation of producers can do.
What would you do with $50,000?
After upgrading some hardware in my home studio, I would really like to use the money to throw an event with some of my favorite underground artists to showcase their talents as well!
