Who or what is your musical inspiration?
We’re inspired by pre-70’s Blues, R&B and Jazz artists. Those bouncing swinging grooves that heal what’s aching like T-Bone Walker, B.B. King, Dinah Washington, John Lee Hooker, Bill Doggett and contemporary artists like Tom Waits.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would allow us to reach a broader and younger audience to re-introduce these contagious swinging rhythms that many have never experienced. Also, my husband and guitarist has been fine tuning his playing for 50yrs and I’d love for the world to hear him play!
What would you do with $50,000?
We’d probably buy a SUV large enough to tour a band with equipment. Anything left would go towards producing more and more music.
