Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My parents were my biggest inspiration. I grew up watching them create music and it’s all I ever knew and loved. I am honored to carry on the tradition.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I’ve always dreamed of a large platform to help me spread my music and message all over the world. As I’ve grown as an artist, I refuse to let anyone define my worth based on age, appearance, or any other external factors. True belief in an artist should be based on the quality of their art and their work ethic, not superficial criteria. This is what my album Start Flying is all about. Stop Trying to please everyone else and Start Flying toward your greatest potential, your way.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would put the money toward my independent production company and record label whose mission is to lift up and support independent artists.
