Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I’m inspired by ancient Swedish sounds from Dalarna, where folk traditions still live, to the cinematic music of video games, to the American 70s folk movement that fostered a speak-up culture. My closest reference is First Aid Kit. I’m guided by compassion and courage. My path as an artist began in Sweden but came alive in America, this journey is my homecoming. Every song is a letter reminding listeners they matter. LOVE JOSIE is the signature of that message.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen would give the audience an experience they’ve likely never had. From the raw scrape of the Viking tagel lyre to metal chains as percussion in my pop sound, my music is a release. I perform to help people connect, relate, and rise stronger together. The stage is an honor, but I do it for the people!
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50K, I’d scale my artistic vision by building a creative team in America, collaborating with filmmakers, designers, and visual artists to create immersive, story-driven projects. I already have concepts in place and a clear direction. This funding would help turn those ideas into powerful, tangible experiences that move people and elevate the message behind my music.
