Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Growing up, my mom introduced us to artists like Prince, Michael Jackson, Faith Hill, and Fleetwood Mac. By the time I was eight, my then teenaged brother was controlling the radio with Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Deftones, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. Some of my favorite artists are still Aly & AJ and Avril Lavigne, as well as nothing,nowhere., NF, and more. I pull inspiration from my life and all the human experiences it’s filled with - heartbreak, anxiety, depression, joy, hope.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Being able to perform on the Global Citizen Festival stage would be a huge honor. Not only would I be sharing a stage with some amazing artists, but I would be a part of an organization that is changing the world. It would definitely be an opportunity to use my music to advocate for mental health to a larger audience, and would give me the chance to have a career solely in music.
What would you do with $50,000?
If I won the $50,000, I would pay off some debt for my family and myself, as well as get some needed repairs made for my grandparents’ house. I would donate to animal sanctuaries & mental health organizations.
