Who or what is your musical inspiration?
Carrie Underwood and American Idol. My first concert was Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken on the American Idol tour. I watched American Idol with my Nana, who passed away before I was old enough to audition so I went in her honor when I was 14. I made it to Hollywood my senior year and it gave me the boost of confidence I needed to audition for the music program at Belmont University. Carrie is beautiful, with an amazing voice, amazing songs and a demographic of fans that I would love to reach.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I've been in Nashville for ten years so and don't feel like I get to perform enough outside of the local music scene. The Global Citizen Festival would be huge in reaching more people to build a broader fan base. I would love to attract a 'team' to work with on projects so I can keep building my career in music.
What would you do with $50,000?
It didn't talk long to learn that music is an expensive business! $50,000 would go a long way in helping me to record, distribute, and perform my songs. AND - maybe I wouldn't need a roommate with that much money?!?!
