Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical influences range from Seru Giran and Los Rodridguez (Viva larga el Rock Nacional!) to Bela Fleck to Led Zeppelin and back! Derek Trucks' tone is something all guitarists strive for and Jerry Douglas wrote the book on playing and elevating the Dobro to new heights.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would be incredible to bring my Roots/Americana project to Golbal Citizen Festival this year - to be on a lineup with the likes of the biggest name in the business would be a game changer for the future growth of the Mark Lavengood Band as well as all of the side projects I'm producing out of my studio.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest in solar energy for my studio and home property, order new merch, update my website and marketing, and finish my new album that is close to completion! I would probably also take a writing trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina 🎸🎶🙌
