Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My musical inspiration comes from artists all along history that have expressed struggle and passion through the most beautiful art form. Inspired by artists like Frederic Chopin, Antonio Vivaldi, Luciano Pavarotti, to Gospel's Aretha Franklin; Pop's Whitney Houdston, Michael Jackson; to Rock's Queen, Guns & Roses, Aerosmith; Rap & HipHop artists 50Cent, Eminem, Tupac. And last but not least EDM artists Avicii, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and Bruno Oloviani are all part of MaryQ's diverse e
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at this festival would be a great tool for me to get some spotlight and therefore share my music with the world. I am committed to make my mark in this life with my passion for music. I believe this festival would elevate my career and would be a great opportunity to network as well and whether or not I get to play in this amazing festival, I'm still going to pursue my dreams and I will never give up on my music. All I ask is some light and momentum, because I already shine by my own.
What would you do with $50,000?
With $50,000 dollars I would invest on my music career to become the best. Knowledge is power so paying for 2 years of college would't hurt either. I would also buy an airplane ticket to see my mother and take her and my husband on vacation. I would also use the money to help as many dog shelters and animal welfare organizations, since helping animals is another passion of mine. I would also help my people from Guatemala who live in extreme poverty.
