Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I believe music is a language, and we each speak it in our own dialect, shaped by the artists and ideas that inspire us. I’m influenced by pop innovators like Charli XCX and Tyler, the Creator, game composers like Toby Fox and Lena Raine, and classical voices like Caroline Shaw, Varèse, and Ravel. I’m also drawn to surrealism, psychology, and post-internet culture.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Performing at Global Citizen Festival would be a breakthrough. In an industry where access often hinges on gatekeepers, opportunities like this break down walls and put talent front and center. It would elevate my voice, expand my reach, and connect me with collaborators who believe in innovation and purpose. This platform could launch the next chapter of my career.
What would you do with $50,000?
I’d use the $50,000 to elevate Max Reavis as a project. That means funding recordings, visuals, and live performances that reflect the ambition and scale of my work. With my background in composition, I also want to build infrastructure that supports bold, experimental art. Investing in my career is also investing in the future of the arts and the communities that shape them.
