Who or what is your musical inspiration?
The People are my inspiration. I write mostly about love which everyone can relate to. However, songstress like Erykah Badu, Sade, and more recently Summer Walker and SZA are huge inspos. Their rough around the edges but soft and subtle approach is my go-to theme.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This is a great opportunity to not only push my music but connect with other artists and businesses to write for. It’s Americas Top Hitmaker, and that’s what I’m about. Writing hits.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would put it towards making my own studio, but also expand my knowledge and education to enhance my music and produce and engineer for other people. My goal is to help curate an artist’s musical footprint into something marketable but that fits them perfectly, as well as myself.
