Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I grew up listening to Avril Lavigne and Taylor Swift and grew to love artists like Halsey, NF and Alec Benjamin later on, all of whom have something to say and write meaningful songs with catchy melodies. I also find inspiration in the state of the world and my observation of people. Any feeling or thought can become a great song and I love the idea of that!
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I have been dreaming of performing on those big stages for as long as I can remember. Every wish I have and step I take is for that goal, because I know that's where my journey truly begins. Every struggle that I've endured until this point will prove entirely worth it and I'd do it all again a million times if it meant the chance to perform my music on the Festival Stage. It would be the moment I look back on later and say "that was when I knew I'd made it."
What would you do with $50,000?
Part would go towards music videos and production to make my music more professional and not have to pick and choose which of my hundred songs I can release because I'd have the funds to release a few albums. The other part would go towards my rent. Although NYC is a great place to be for art I know first hand why we're all struggling here. It's incredibly expensive and working a job 6 days a week to maintain that rent has taken away from the time I'd prefer to be working on my music and career.
