Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My biggest musical inspiration would be my uncle. He was always singing around grandma’s house and would go to different churches and sing traditional hymns for our people. That’s what started my love for music and ever since then I’ve known what I’ve wanted to do.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would give me an opportunity to tell my story on a bigger stage. I know that not everyone will be fan of what I’m saying. What I do know is every time I get on stage, the consensus is you can feel my raw emotions and as artist that we strive to do.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest into my career and give back to my community. The high school in my town doesn’t have a band or music program and it’s always been a dream of mine to be able to provide that in some way.
