Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I dedicate my song 'ON & ON' to my mom who just passed away last week. My parents are creative souls, from different countries, they gave me eclectic influences outside of where I grew up. I love a little of it all. I genuinely care about people, listen to what’s going on. I try to lend a helping ear or hand, especially through my music. I want to lift up the world. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
It would mean everything for my career, I’ve built the steppingstones. I’ve proven that my voice is wanted and accepted in so many households via radio, I sang on famous peoples’ albums, but I was shoved under the carpet and left without anything. Had to start from zero, never giving up. I have so much passion and love to share. Getting the chance to sing to such an amazing eclectic audience, especially in New York, where I live, would finally put that icing on the cake.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would put some of it into savings so that I can live without a constant struggle and pay my monthly costs, etc. I would also put it into buying my mother a chairlift since she cannot walk anymore, and I would love to take her outside of the house. And something I’ve been wanting to do for years, I would love to produce all my songs and invest in marketing them… and get them to all the people out there who would relate and love my songs and performances. I would feel truly blessed!
