Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My first musical inspiration was my father. A classic Berklee dropout, he was the first person to play live in front of me in my living room. I knew then that I’d be a musician.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
As everyone will say, this will change my life. I never felt like anyone took me seriously as a musician. This would just prove everyone wrong. The Global Citizen Festival would give me the opportunity to show what everyone has been missing.
What would you do with $50,000?
To be honest, I’d probably pay off whatever debt my mom accumulated raising my brothers and I. I’m sure lots of people will say this but it takes a village, you know? There's a long list of people to thank that got me to where I am now.
