Who or what is your musical inspiration?
I love shred metal. I grew up in an era when guitar heroes were just as revered as athletes. It started with Eddy VH. What followed was an explosion of great players; Vai, Satch, all the cats from Shrapnel Records, etc. I came of age during this time. I fell in love with this style of playing. How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
Any opportunity to perform in front of ppl and get your music heard is great. To play your music in front of ppl who are connected in the industry and can possibly open doors for you is next level.
What would you do with $50,000?
I wld invest it in my music career. In my youth I had envisioned arena tours and the rock and roll life. The game has drastically changed. YouTube and Social Media has leveled the playing field. I am in the process of creating a website where we will talk about the players that inspire us, promote up and coming artists, and my primary focus will be on teaching. Shred guitar requires more then just a teacher. A shred guitarist is an athlete. I am looking to coach a new generation of shred.
