Who or what is your musical inspiration?
music that can make you feel things viscerally. like if a song is trying to evoke catharsis i wanna feel it in my gut, feel the pit in my stomach. whether that’s through production or lyrics, doesn’t matter. i’m often listening to dance/pop/electronic stuff for that very reason. like i can be crying in the car after a bad day to a charli song the same way i can be dancing to it in the club, it’s catharsis and it helps me actually sit with uncomfortable feelings long enoug
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
performing at Global Citizen Festival would absolutely change my life. it would support me in my efforts to find my audience in a way i haven’t been able to do, with this particular niche in my particular town. it would be an opportunity to connect with not only fans, but other musicians, producers, singers and artists in a ways i never have before: as an adult, as a producer myself (took me forever to consider myself one), as someone with not only something to say, but to share.
What would you do with $50,000?
what i would do with $50,000 is a few things wrapped into one: gigs and tours, to merch and music videos. i’d definitely want to start local and build out, but it would give me the means to do so. it would be an investment in my future in the music realm, and i would treat it as such :)
