Who or what is your musical inspiration?
My biggest musical inspiration is Bruce Springsteen. As a singer-songwriter and a history teacher I feel I can inspire many people to be responsible and kind through my songs and performances.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
I’ve always been a fan of Global Citizen. I am a singer-songwriter as well as a history teacher. I continuously try to inspire my students to be citizens of the world, trying to focus on several ideas Global Citizen stands for. Since 2012 I have dreamed of performing my song “I’m Dreaming Of A Better World” at Global Citizen Festival. I even played an early version for Hugh & people of Global Citizen at The TODAY Show once.
What would you do with $50,000?
I would give a good portion of it to help to organizations like Global Citizen and/or others to help fight poverty and hunger. I am currently an artist for WhyHunger and have done many concerts since the pandemic donating a portion of the profits to their organization.
