Who or what is your musical inspiration?
THE BLUES LEGENDS, MAN! From B.B. King to Albert King, Muddy Waters to Howlin' Wolf, the pioneers of the blues genre have always driven me to push the boundaries of soulful storytelling and raw, emotional expression. But what really fuels my fire is the legacy of those who paved the way. I've had the privilege of sharing the stage and collaborating with Blues Hall of Famers, Dream Award recipients, and Grammy Nominated, Chicago Blues Luminaries.
How would performing at the Global Citizen Festival impact your career?
This would be a GAME-CHANGER for my career. Performing at Global Citizen would bring legitimacy to my grassroots efforts, elevating my profile from local blues scenes to the international stage. It would validate the hard work and dedication I've put into carrying on the blues legacy, and open doors to new opportunities, collaborations, and fans. This moment would be a turning point in my career allowing me to take my music to new heights and inspire a wider audience with the power of the blues!
What would you do with $50,000?
I would invest half into my career enhancing production value of course and help promote my brand, online presence and book more gigs. Additionally I'd donate the rest to the Muddy Waters Mojo Museum in Chicago. I've worked with Muddy Waters youngest son Joseph Morganfield and other luminaries from the Chicago Blues Community and I owe it to them to give back as much as I can.
